Standard Solar Senior QA Inspector Alan Courtemanche

An experienced electrician and professional in the renewable energy industry, Alan Courtemanche joined Rockville, Maryland’s Standard Solar in 2015 and continues to serve the organization as senior QA inspector. In this role, he engages with the superintendents, principals, and building managers of schools throughout the Northeast, with an overriding goal of ensuring compliance with National Electrical Code standards. He is also responsible for the oversight of both commercial and utility scale solar energy projects across the United States. It is not unusual for Alan Courtemanche to be tasked with the oversight of more than 100 projects at a time. Intimately familiar with trackers, canopies, and roof mounted solar systems, Alan has also created the electrical inspection SOP, for Standard Solar.

Prior to joining Standard Solar, Mr. Courtemanche spent time in electrician and inspector roles with companies such as Moss Construction, Mbec, and Raging Wire. Between 1999 and 2011, he worked for IBEW Local 26 in Washington, DC, as a journeyman electrician. He ultimately advanced to the position of foreman for Dynaelectric, America’s most comprehensive electrical contractor. Outside of his responsibilities at Standard Solar, he enjoys leading an active lifestyle, with personal interests ranging from hiking to skiing.
